Crystal Palace have reportedly told Manchester United that they will have to hand over £70m for defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The Red Devils are looking to strengthen at right-back ahead of next season and the 21-year-old has emerged as their rumoured first choice.
United were ready to make a £35m offer for the England Under-21s international but, according to The Independent, Palace are after double that fee.
Wan-Bissaka is the player Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to replace the outgoing Antonio Valencia and the ageing Ashley Young, but the Norwegian may now have to look elsewhere for a long-term option.
The report indicates that the fallen Premier League giants, who finished a lowly sixth this season, are also still looking at Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly and Leicester City's Harry Maguire.
