Cristiano Ronaldo has declared that he fully expects to sign a new contract with Real Madrid this summer, committing his long-term future to the Spanish giants.
The Portuguese forward has been the subject of transfer speculation in recent weeks, with reports linking him with both Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.
Ronaldo has distanced himself from those rumours and insisted that he remains confident of coming to terms over a new deal with Real president Florentino Perez.
He is quoted by The Guardian as saying: "I am well, calm and not worried about it. I know we will reach a deal."
The 28-year-old was in action for Portugal last night, helping his country secure a 1-0 win over Russia to boost their World Cup qualifying campaign.
