Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly informed close friends that he would like to rejoin Manchester United next summer.
The 27-year-old swapped Old Trafford for Real Madrid in 2009 for a world record fee of £80m.
However, having netted 170 goals in 169 games for Los Blancos, Ronaldo has decided that he is keen to be reunited with Sir Alex Ferguson, according to The Sun.
The report has also claimed that United would struggle to afford Madrid's asking price for the Portuguese international, who still has over two years remaining on his contract at the Bernabeu.
Ronaldo will come up against his former employers in February in the Champions League.
