Manchester United will reportedly not allow captain Bruno Fernandes to leave the club during this summer's transfer window unless a 'huge offer' arrives.
There remains ongoing speculation surrounding the Portugal international's future, with Paris Saint-Germain the latest club to be credited with an interest in his services.
Teams from the Saudi Pro League are also said to be keeping a close eye on his situation, while Bayern Munich are thought to be long-term admirers of the playmaker.
There have been suggestions that Fernandes is not 'untouchable' in the Red Devils squad, with the English giants said to be willing to let him leave during the summer market.
However, according to ESPN, it is unlikely that the attacker will leave Man United this summer, with only a 'huge offer' capable of making the English giants alter their stance.
Fernandes is 'expected' to stay at Man United
Fernandes was in action for Portugal at Euro 2024, helping his country to reach the quarter-finals of the competition, and he has therefore not yet resumed pre-season training with Man United.
The Red Devils captain has missed the friendlies with Rosenborg and Rangers, and he will also not be heading to the United States for the club's pre-season tour.
Fernandes will not link back up with his team until the start of August, but he could still be involved against Manchester City in the Community Shield on August 10.
The 20-time English champions will then open their 2024-25 Premier League campaign at home to Fulham on August 16, with Fernandes set to lead the Red Devils out.
How has Fernandes performed for Man United?
Fernandes made the move to Old Trafford from Sporting Lisbon in January 2020, and he has represented Man United on 233 occasions, scoring 79 goals and registering 66 assists in the process.
Last season, the attacker made 48 appearances for Erik ten Hag's side, scoring 15 goals and registering 13 assists, once again proving to be a vital player for the club.
Fernandes has been one of the club's biggest success stories in the transfer market in recent memory, and he said at the end of last season that he would stay at Old Trafford for as long as he was still wanted.
Man United are believed to be willing to sell seven more first-team players this summer, though, with Harry Maguire, Antony and Jadon Sancho among those allegedly available.
The Red Devils have thus far made two signings this summer, bringing in Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna and French centre-back Leny Yoro from Lille. body check tags ::
