Former Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre has admitted that he would not be surprised if Angel di Maria leaves the club this summer.
The Argentine winger arrived at Old Trafford for nearly £60m last year, but an underwhelming debut season in England has seen him linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Silvestre believes that joining a club like PSG could prove tempting for the 27-year-old following his struggles in the Premier League.
"Over the years it's been difficult for South American players to adapt to the Premier League. I think the conditions, the culture and the demands of the Premier League in terms of physique and attitude... I think it's challenging," he told Sky Sports News.
"Even top players find it sometimes difficult. I wouldn't be surprised if he was also tempted to go to PSG. Let's be frank, Ligue 1 in France is not the Premier League. In terms of football you can't expect the same dimension, but Paris is a big club now."
Di Maria scored four goals in 32 appearances for Manchester United last season.
