Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes that Paul Pogba could be convinced to stay at Old Trafford if the Red Devils start winning silverware.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes that Paul Pogba could remain at Old Trafford if the Red Devils are able to bring in more silverware.

The midfielder has been strongly linked with a move away following Mino Raiola's admission that his time in Manchester is over, with Juventus thought to be the frontrunners to land their former player.

Real Madrid are also understood to be in the race, but Solskjaer thinks that United could convince Pogba to stay if they can guarantee him trophies in the near future.

Speaking to ESPN, Solskjaer said: "There's always a demand at Man United to win trophies and the more you win trophies, the more players are going to want to play for us and then there's a higher standard you've got to set yourself.

"It's a demand for the players, it's a challenge for the players that we want them to improve and get better and better. Paul has been here for a while and of course he wants to win more trophies.

"It's down to us to win trophies and then let's see who will be part of the team going forward."

Football agent Mario Cenolli believes that Pogba, who has a contract with Man United until 2022, will likely join Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.
