Manchester United bosses will reportedly give manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the entirety of the £75m fee received for Romelu Lukaku to spend in January, should the Norwegian need the funds to strengthen a top-four push this season.
The 46-year-old brought in £150m trio Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire and Daniel James this summer, with all three impressing in the opening fortnight of the season.
According to The Sun, however, the United boss is still eager to sign a creative midfielder and could address that desire in January with the money received from Inter Milan for Lukaku.
Andreas Pereira was tasked with that job in the 4-0 opening day victory over Chelsea, but was dropped for United's 1-1 draw at Wolverhampton Wanderers last time out.
Fellow midfielder Fred has yet to feature at all this season, having been signed by Jose Mourinho last summer for around £52m.
Alexis Sanchez could soon follow Lukaku to the San Siro, with the Chilean reportedly in talks with the Italian giants.
