Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona are reportedly battling for the signature of Djurgardens IF teenager Lucas Bergvall.
There has been a host of speculation surrounding the 17-year-old's future over the last few weeks, with a number of clubs said to be interested in signing him.
Manchester United are believed to have expressed an interest in the youngster, but according to Sky Sports News journalist Michael Bridge, he is choosing between Spurs and Barcelona.
Bridge claims that there is no rush when it comes to a deal on deadline day, as Bergvall will not be making a move until this summer's transfer window.
The Sweden international came through the youth system at IF Brommapojkarna before making the move to his current side last year.
Bergvall has represented Djurgardens on 29 occasions in all competitions, scoring three goals and registering one assist in the process.
The midfielder has a contract with his current club until December 2015, but the Swedish outfit have allegedly accepted that he will be leaving during this summer's transfer window.
Djurgardens sporting director Bo Andersson recently revealed that he had spoken with Barcelona over a possible move for the teenager.
Speaking to Fotbollskanalen, Andersson revealed: "Yes, I can confirm that we've been in contact and in dialogue with Barcelona. But it's not a negotiation yet. There was some contact with Barcelona last week but this week we haven't spoken to them."
As well as Man United, Inter Milan, Atalanta BC, RB Leipzig and Rennes had allegedly been interested in signing the youngster, but it is now between Barcelona and Spurs.
Djurgardens could receive €7m (£6m) plus €3m (£2.6m) in add-ons for Bergvall, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The youngster's international debut for Sweden came against Estonia in a friendly last month, playing the final 31 minutes of what proved to be a 2-1 victory.
Barcelona are believed to be confident of having the funds to sign Bergvall despite their well-documented financial problems, with any move not being made official until the end of the campaign. body check tags ::
