Tottenham Hotspur could reportedly attempt to make a surprise swoop for Manchester United attacker Alexis Sanchez during the summer transfer window.
The Chile international was shipped out on loan to Inter Milan after failing to make his mark at Old Trafford, but Sanchez is supposedly set to return to Manchester next month with his temporary spell in Italy about to come to an end.
The attacker has not fared any better with Antonio Conte's side, however, as Sanchez has been restricted to just 11 Serie A appearances following an injury-plagued season.
Nevertheless, 90Min reports that Tottenham would be open to taking Sanchez on a loan deal in North London - a locale where he already has plenty of footballing experience following his three-and-a-half-year stint at Arsenal.
However, the report also states that Sanchez himself would prefer a move abroad, and there are no guarantees that United would allow the 31-year-old to join a Premier League rival.
Sanchez still has two years left to run on his contract at Old Trafford, where he has registered five goals from 45 appearances since arriving in 2018.
