Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified Leicester City forward Islam Slimani as a potential signing before the end of the January transfer window.
Despite having contributed seven goals and seven assists in 13 Ligue 1 appearances for Monaco, the Algeria international is now out of favour at Stade Louis II.
That has allegedly resulted in interest from Manchester United, who are looking to bring in a short-term replacement for the injured Marcus Rashford.
However, Spurs face the same scenario due to the absence of Harry Kane, with RMC Sport claiming that they have made contact over a potential loan deal for the 31-year-old.
While Monaco must decide whether they are willing to part ways with Slimani, Leicester may also be wary of strengthening clubs who could still act as direct rivals in the Premier League.
The report adds that neither United nor Spurs are interested in a permanent deal.
