Paris Saint-Germain defender Thomas Meunier was reportedly hopeful that Manchester United would make a move for him during the January transfer window.
The 28-year-old has been consistently linked with a move to Old Trafford over the last few months as his current deal in the French capital will expire at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
According to Paris United, the Belgium international was waiting for the Red Devils to make an offer last month, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side instead completed deals for Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo.
The report claims that Meunier remains open to a switch to United, although the right-back would also consider signing a new deal with PSG should a suitable offer arrive.
The Belgian, who has also previously been linked with Arsenal, has scored once and provided two assists in 23 appearances for the French champions during the current season.
United allowed Ashley Young to leave for Inter Milan last month, but Diogo Dalot has returned from injury to provide competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right-back.
