Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans has insisted that he made the right choice joining the Foxes during the summer despite reported interest from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United.
The Belgium international impressed on loan at Leicester in the second half of last season before moving to the King Power Stadium in a £40m deal from Monaco during the summer transfer window.
Tielemans has said that he was "happy" to be linked with the likes of Arsenal and United, who are both believed to have had the midfielder on their radar, but the midfielder stands by his decision.
"During the transfer window, I was happy of the interest of certain big clubs. I needed to make a choice for my young career and I think it was the right one. To arrive off the back of a €45m (£40m) transfer doesn't change anything," Tielemans told reporters.
"They already knew me at Leicester. My loan spell went very good. I wanted to continue playing in this club."
The 22-year-old has contributed one goal and one assist in four Premier League appearances for Brendan Rodgers's side at the start of the new campaign.
