Leicester City have reportedly come to an agreement with Crystal Palace over a deal for Jordan Ayew.

There has recently been speculation surrounding the 32-year-old's future, with Leicester believed to have made him one of their top targets in the latter stages of the transfer window.

According to the South London Press, the Foxes, who drew 1-1 with Tottenham Hotspur in their Premier League opener, have now come to an agreement with Palace over a deal.

The report claims that Steve Cooper's side are set to pay £8m for Ayew, who is also thought to have been on the radar of a number of Saudi Arabian clubs during the summer market.

The Ghana international made the move to Palace from Swansea City in 2018, initially on loan, and he has represented the Eagles on 212 occasions, scoring 23 goals and registering 22 assists, while his overall Premier League record is 37 goals and 25 assists in 275 appearances.

Rennes 'closing in' on deal for Barcelona's Faye

Meanwhile, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona centre-back Mikayil Faye is closing in on a move to Rennes.

The 20-year-old featured on 35 occasions for Barcelona B during the 2023-24 campaign following his arrival from Croatian outfit NK Kustosija in June 2023.

Faye was on the bench for Barcelona's first team on three occasions in the second half of last season, and there had been claims that he could make the breakthrough into the senior side in 2024-25.

However, Romano claims that Faye is now nearing a permanent move to Rennes.

The French outfit will allegedly pay an initial €12m (£10.2m), with a further €4m (£3.4m) potentially arriving in add-ons, while Barcelona will have a 25% sell-on clause, in addition to buy back clauses for the first year and second year at €35m (£29.7m) and €40m (£33.9m) respectively.

Arsenal and Manchester United were both credited with an interest in the Senegal international earlier this year.

Wolves 'set' to be priced out of Wissa move

Elsewhere, Wolverhampton Wanderers will reportedly be priced out of a move for Brentford's Yoane Wissa.

Wolves are thought to have identified the 27-year-old as a top transfer target in the latter stages of the transfer window and had been hoping to convince Brentford to let him leave.

However, according to Football Insider, Brentford would only listen to a 'huge offer' for Wissa, as the Bees are expected to lose Ivan Toney before the end of the transfer window.

Wolves are in the market for a replacement for Pedro Neto and will seemingly now be forced to look elsewhere in the final week of the summer market.

Wissa made the move to Brentford from Lorient in the summer of 2021, and he has represented Thomas Frank's side on 111 occasions, scoring 30 goals and registering nine assists in the process.
