Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly submitted a bid for Stuttgart forward Sasa Kalajdzic.

After scoring one goal in their opening three Premier League games, Wolves are looking to strengthen in the final third before the transfer window shuts.

A recent report indicated that they have identified Kalajdzic as a potential target, with the Austria international linked with a move away from Stuttgart.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Wolves have submitted a €15m (£12.7m) offer, but the Bundesliga club are looking to receive between €20m (17m) and €25m (£21.2m) for the striker.

Talks will continue between the two clubs to establish if an agreement can be reached for a player that has less than 12 months remaining on his current contract.

Meanwhile, Leicester City are reportedly looking to sign Borussia Dortmund defender Manuel Akanji.

With Wesley Fofana a transfer target for Chelsea, the Foxes are considering replacements should the 21-year-old leave the club.

According to the Daily Mail, Leicester are weighing up a loan move for Akanji, who has fallen down the pecking order at Borussia Dortmund following the arrival of Nico Schlotterbeck.

The Foxes were linked with a potential £18m transfer for Akanji last season, but with less than a week left in the transfer window they are looking at the possibility of a loan deal.

The Switzerland international has less than 12 months remaining on his current contract and is believed to be keen to leave the Bundesliga club.

Elsewhere, Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Memphis Depay from Barcelona.

Following the arrivals of Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha at Barcelona, the Dutchman is expected to leave the club before the transfer window shuts.

Depay looked set to join Juventus, but with discussions over wages proving to be difficult, the Turin club turned their attention to signing Arkadiusz Milik on a loan deal.

While a move to the Serie A giants is off, according to Calcio Mercato, Depay is attracting interest from Newcastle United.

Despite completing the signing of Alexander Isak from Real Sociedad, the Magpies are believed to be looking to make further additions, although they could face competition from Manchester United, who are linked with their former player.

Elsewhere, Everton are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Blackburn Rovers forward Ben Brereton-Diaz.

After scoring 22 goals in 37 Championship appearances last season, the Chile international has attracted interest from clubs across Europe.

The likes of Nice, Sevilla, West Ham United, and Bournemouth are reportedly admirers of the 23-year-old, but Everton appear to be leading the race for Brereton-Diaz's signature.

According to 90min, are close to agreeing a deal that would see Everton pay £17.5m while further add-ons are expected to take the transfer value beyond £20m.

With less than 12 months left on his current contract, Brereton-Diaz has reportedly turned down the opportunity to sign a new deal with Blackburn. body check tags ::
