Manchester United defender Phil Jones is locked in discussions with the club over a new long-term deal at Old Trafford, according to a report.
The England international has been a key figure in the heart of the Red Devils' defence this term after forcing his way back into Jose Mourinho's plans.
Jones, who struggled for form and fitness last term, has been part of a defensive unit that has shipped just two goals in eight Premier League games in 2017-18.
ESPN suggests that the 25-year-old is now in talks with United, with a contract beyond the end of the 2018-19 season being put on the table.
Negotiations are said to still be at an early stage on the deal, which is understood to be worth around £150,000 a week in wages.
