Manchester United could reportedly move for AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma if David de Gea leaves Old Trafford in this summer's transfer window.
De Gea has still not signed a new contract with the 20-time English champions, meaning that United could choose to sell this summer rather than risk losing him on a free transfer at the end of next season.
Sergio Romero is reportedly under consideration to become the club's number one goalkeeper if De Gea departs.
However, according to Calciomercato, United are keeping a close eye on developments at Milan, with the Italian giants currently locked in a battle to finish in the top four in Serie A.
The report has claimed that should the San Siro giants fail to secure a Champions League finish then Donnarumma would be available, which has attracted the attention of the Red Devils.
The Italian became the youngest goalkeeper ever to debut in Serie A at the age of 16.
Now 20, the stopper has made 163 appearances for Milan in all competitions, keeping 58 clean sheets.
