Manchester United have reportedly made an attempt to sign Monaco teenager Hannibal Mejbri.
United have not brought in any first-team additions since the arrival of caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and there are no plans for any significant incomings on the final day of the January transfer window.
However, according to RMC Sport, the Premier League giants are interested in pushing through a deal for Mejbri on Thursday.
The 16-year-old is said to have handed in a transfer request at Monaco, and the report has suggested that talks have been ongoing between the two clubs throughout this week.
Mejbri has previously cost Monaco a fee of £920,000, and any deal would likely result in United having to pay more than that figure.
