Manchester United youngster Jesse Lingard is reportedly a loan target for Birmingham City manager Lee Clark.
Lingard featured on United's tour of the Far East in pre-season, but has been made available for loan as he goes in search of regular first-team football at a lower level.
Brummies boss Clark wants the midfield starlet at St Andrew's this season but is dependent on the backing of his board to make the deal happen, according to The Mirror.
When quizzed about the chances of adding to his squad when the loan window opens, Clark said: "I am always looking and seeing what's around and always asking the question to the board whether there are finances there for us to keep pushing forward.
"No doubt they will get sick of me, but I will keep asking the questions."
Lingard got a taste of life in the Championship during a two-month loan spell with Leicester City last season, making six appearances.
The 20-year-old was also part of England's Under-21 squad for the first time last month, making his debut at that level in a 6-0 win over Scotland.
