Manchester United are reportedly planning to make a move for RB Leipzig's teenage defender Dayot Upamecano.
The 19-year-old moved to the Bundesliga outfit in January from Red Bull Salzburg on a four-and-a-half year deal, helping them to a second-place finish come the end of the season.
According to Calcio Mercato, United have been tracking the youngster for the last two years and are now gearing up to make an offer in January as part of Jose Mourinho's plans to strengthen his defence for the second half of the campaign.
The Frenchman's form for Leipzig has attracted interest from a host of top sides, including United rivals Liverpool, while AC Milan have been tipped to submit their own bid when the transfer window re-opens.
Upamecano moved to Leipzig for just £8.8m but as part of his deal is thought to have a release clause of £88m.
