Rivals Manchester United and Manchester City are reportedly ready to battle for the signing of Anderlecht teenager Youri Tielemans.
The 18-year-old has won Belgium's Young Footballer of the Year award in both of the last two seasons and he became the youngest Belgian to play in the Champions League when he made his debut at the age of 16 years and 148 days in October 2013.
According to a Daily Star report, he has been monitored by Louis van Gaal's United for more than a year, but the Sky Blues are ready to fight their local rivals for the signature of the prospect.
The paper claims that Cit's Belgian contingent, which includes captain Vincent Kompany and record signing Kevin de Bruyne, could convince Tielemans to move to the Etihad rather than Old Trafford when the two clubs start a bidding war in January.
However, it is thought that the teenager, who is valued at around £30m, is also wanted by Premier League rivals Chelsea as well as top European clubs including Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund.
