Manchester United are reportedly poised to beat Arsenal to the signature of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
The 20-year-old has grown frustrated with his lack of playing time for the Ligue 1 leaders this season, starting just nine times in the league.
Rabiot's mother and agent Veronique has been in London holding talks with the Gunners about a potential loan switch this month, with an option to buy at the end of the season for £11.2m.
According to Don Balon, however, United manager Louis van Gaal is preparing to scupper the deal by meeting PSG's valuation of £21.4m to secure his services this transfer window.
Rabiot was an unused substitute on Saturday as Les Parisiens picked up their 18th league win of the season at Toulouse.
