Manchester United will only allow unwanted goalkeeper Victor Valdes to leave on a free transfer if he finds a new club overseas, according to a report.
The Red Devils are prepared to terminate the 33-year-old's contract if he agrees not to sign for one of their Premier League rivals, according to The Mirror.
The news comes amid rumours that Liverpool are interested in signing Valdes to compete with Simon Mignolet for first-team football.
Valdes's career at Old Trafford is believed to be over, with reports suggesting that he has been banned from United's Carrington training ground while the first team are in session there.
