Victor Valdes will reportedly be confirmed as a Manchester United player by the end of the week.
The goalkeeper has been training with Louis van Gaal's side over recent weeks, having been released by Barcelona at the end of last season.
He arrived in England still recovering from a cruciate knee ligament injury that he suffered back in March, which was thought to have prevented Van Gaal from offering the 32-year-old a deal.
However, Valdes has returned to fitness and he will now sign a permanent contract that will keep him at Old Trafford until the summer of 2016, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Valdes was given his Barca debut back in 2002 by United boss Van Gaal.
