Aston Villa are allegedly planning to table a bid for Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez when the transfer window opens this summer.
The Villans would be expected to pay around £12m for the Mexico international, but face competition for his signature, according to the Daily Star.
Hernandez, who has become a fringe player at Old Trafford, is also said to have attracted interest from Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur.
Meanwhile, Villa boss Paul Lambert has reportedly identified Manchester City's Joleon Lescott and Lewis Holtby of Spurs as his other summer targets.
