West Ham United are reportedly considering a late swoop to re-sign Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard on loan before the 11pm deadline.
One previous report suggested that the Hammers were unlikely to recruit the 29-year-old, with the Red Devils unwilling to let him join a top-four rival.
Lingard wants to move away from Old Trafford in the final few hours of the window, in search of regular first-team football, and would be keen to reunite with David Moyes at the London Stadium.
According to the Daily Mirror, West Ham are aware of Lingard's desires to return and will consider a late move to sign him again on loan for the rest of the season.
Newcastle United are another Premier League club interested in recruiting the England international, who is out of contract in the summer.
Lingard enjoyed a successful loan spell with West Ham last season, netting nine times and registering five assists in 16 appearances, and he was a key figure who helped them qualify for the Europa League. body check tags ::
