Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United winger Amad Diallo on a temporary basis during the January transfer window.
The 21-year-old signed for the Red Devils from Serie A outfit Atalanta BC at the start of 2021 but has failed to play regularly in the first team at Old Trafford.
Diallo was sent out on loan to Scottish giants Rangers for the second half of the 2021-22 term, however the attacker struggled during his time at the Glasgow-based club.
Last season's temporary switch to Championship side Sunderland proved to be a successful spell for the youngster, with the winger scoring 13 goals and providing three assists in 37 second-tier appearances.
According to Football Transfers, Wolves are keen on bringing Diallo to the Black Country during the upcoming January transfer window, with the Molineux club hoping to avoid a relegation battle this term.
The report claims that a potential switch to the West Midlands for the Ivory Coast international would be a temporary one, with the player still possibly having a future at Man United.
Diallo's current deal at Old Trafford expires in the summer of 2025, meaning that he has less than two years to prove that he is worthy of an extension of his terms.
It is understood that Gary O'Neil's side are monitoring the attacker's situation in Manchester as they prepare to improve their offensive ranks in the New Year.
Wolves star Pedro Neto has reportedly caught the eye of potential suitors after getting seven assists in 10 Premier League during the opening months of the top-flight term.
It is believed that Arsenal are interested in bringing the Portuguese to the Emirates Stadium in January, with the Gunners hoping to challenge Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool for the league crown.
Diallo was a regular fixture in the Red Devils' pre-season schedule before picking up an ankle injury during the 2-0 win over Mikel Arteta's side in North America on July 23.
It is understood that the former Sunderland loanee is close to being available for selection once again, and is expected to be handed some minutes in United's Under-21s side before potentially returning to first-team action.
After putting their Champions League progression into jeopardy with a 4-3 loss at Copenhagen on Wednesday night, Man United host newly-promoted Luton Town in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Diallo's potential suitors Wolves will be looking to extend the distance between themselves and the bottom three to nine points on the weekend as they host Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham Hotspur are Molineux. body check tags ::
