Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is reportedly determined to get a deal for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba over the line despite reported links with Juventus.
The France international, who has only turned out eight times for United during the 2019-20 campaign, continues to be strongly linked with an exit from Old Trafford.
Real Madrid have long been credited with an interest in the 27-year-old, although a recent report claimed that Juventus were set to win the race for their former player.
However, Mundo Deportivo reports that Zidane is not giving up in his pursuit of Pogba and is desperate to add the midfielder to the ranks at the Bernabeu ahead of next season.
The report claims that the Real hierarchy have been reluctant to follow through on a deal for Pogba amid financial concerns, with Los Blancos president Florentino Perez supposedly put off by the Frenchman's mammoth wages.
Pogba's current deal at United is set to expire next summer, although the Red Devils have the option to trigger a one-year extension.
