Tom Cleverley insists that he is relishing the responsibility of performing for England against Poland on Tuesday.

England midfielder Tom Cleverley has declared that he is relishing the chance to face a step-up in quality for the Three Lions against Poland.

Cleverley is expected to keep his place in Roy Hodgson's side for the trip to Warsaw in midweek with Frank Lampard ruled out of the match through injury.

The Manchester United playmaker thinks that the Poland match will offer a further chance to test his progression in hostile territory.

He told reporters at the pre-match press conference: "It will be another different experience for me on Tuesday night.

"It makes me feel really proud and I am always happy to represent my country. I have won three of them and drawn one. Hopefully I can get the nod on Tuesday and carry on with the good form.

"We have prepared well. We have worked well in training and I'm sure we will watch them over the next couple of nights in meetings and we will be fully prepared for what they will throw at us on Tuesday."

The 23-year-old has established himself as a regular feature of Hodgson's squad, winning four international caps this year.
