Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi has been left out of the Argentina squad for the World Cup.
Icardi has enjoyed a stellar campaign in Serie A, with 29 goals being scored in 34 appearances, but it has not been enough to earn a place in Jorge Sampaoli's 23-man group.
Sampaoli has instead gone with Juventus duo Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain, while Boca Juniors frontman Cristian Pavon has also been included.
Six Premier League players have been selected, including Manchester United duo Sergio Romero and Marcos Rojo and Manchester City pair Nicolas Otamendi and Sergio Aguero.
Chelsea stopper Willy Caballero and West Ham United playmaker Manuel Lanzini could also feature in Russia.
