Mansfield Town manager Paul Cox has said that his side showed commitment as they brushed aside Northampton Town in League Two on Saturday.
Strikes from Ben Hutchinson, Sam Clucas and an own goal from Mathias Kouo-Doumbe saw the Cobblers suffer a fifth defeat in six games, but Cox insists that the Stags needed to show "a lot of heart" to secure three points.
He told reporters after the game: "The way we train is the way we play now. The boys are throwing themselves in front of shots, Maz (Alan Marriott) is diving at people's feet, and all credit has to go to the boys.
"Defending is an art and it's something that we're working on, but I'm very pleased with the work ethic that we showed today."
Mansfield are now level on points with Oxford United in the League Two playoff places.
