Marseille winger Andre Ayew has insisted that his side are capable of challenging big-spending rivals Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco in Ligue 1 this season.
Elie Baup's men started the campaign in confident fashion, with summer signing Dimitri Payet scoring twice in a 3-1 win at Guingamp.
Ayew thinks that a settled squad can help L'OM at minimum repeat their second-place finish from last season, with the Ghana international quietly confident of achieving more this time round.
He told Canal+: "The games we are playing are just for preparation and it is only now that we will work on sharpening explosiveness.
"It is true that it is a bit difficult, we have heavy legs, but is now much better.
"People should keep this and not panic, I am confident and I know we are going to take the championship."
The 23-year-old has just entered his fourth season at the Stade Velodrome, with 42 goals in 136 appearances.
