Marseille have moved up to 11th place in Ligue 1 after a comprehensive 4-1 victory over Bastia.
The hosts went ahead in the 15th minute through Benjamin Mendy's thunderous 20-yard strike that cracked the underside of the bar before finding its way into the back of the net.
Romain Alessandrini nearly doubled Marseille's lead a few moments later, but Jesper Hansen got down low to block the shot.
Abdelaziz Barrada then tested Jesper from range, before Remy Cabella blazed an effort over the bar late in the first half.
Alessandrini's solo effort doubled Marseille's lead within a minute of the restart and the winger netted another goal in the 66th minute with a poacher's strike.
After scoring the first goal, Mendy turned provider in the 70th minute with an accurate cross that was finished by Michy Batshuayi.
The only blotch for Marseille was Silva Brandao's late headed goal, but it did nothing to prevent Michel from registering his second consecutive home victory since taking charge of the club in late August.
