Lille thrashed Metz 4-1 on the final day of Ligue 1 thanks to a brace from Nolan Roux and goals from Florent Balmont and Idrissa Gueye.
The away team were on the attack from the start as Roux, Sebastien Corchia and Rio Mavuba all had shots within the opening 15 minutes.
The Lille fans had to wait 40 minutes for a goal, though, but then saw their team score three in the space of four minutes.
First, Balmont's right-footed shot found the bottom corner and Gueye found the net from outside the box just a minute later.
Nolan Roux then gave Lille a three-goal cushion at half time, scoring from the centre of the penalty area.
Metz played much better in the second half, but Bounna Sarr and Florent Malouda both spurned chances.
Romain Metanire conceded a penalty in the 68th minute, and Roux was able to add his second, and Lille's fourth, from the penalty spot.
Jose Palomino pulled a goal back for Metz with nine minutes remaining, scoring from close range after Malouda's corner.
