Middlesbrough have tied down promising youngster Adam Reach with a new four-and-a-half year contract.
The 21-year-old has committed himself to the club until the end of the 2018-19 season after a string of impressive performances this season.
Reach barely played for Boro last term, spending time on loan at Bradford City and Shrewsbury Town in League One, but has appeared in all 15 of the Teesside club's Championship games this season, scoring once.
"It's very good for Adam and it's very good for the team," Boro head coach Aitor Karanka told the club website.
"Adam is a very good lad and it's important for him to a have a contract he deserves.
"He has done well this season. He's improved every week. He's good with the ball, he's powerful, and he's very good tactically."
The midfielder also scored at Anfield in the memorable Capital One Cup tie against Liverpool.
