Middlesbrough came from one goal down to maintain their unbeaten start to the season and beat Birmingham 3-1 at the Riverside this afternoon.
The visitors led at the break after Boro keeper Carl Ikeme was adjudged to have brought down Chris Burke. Adam Rooney drilled the resulting penalty low into the corner.
The home side equalised soon after half-time when Scottish midfielder Barry Robson scored from a free kick following a foul on Marvin Emnes.
Boro took the lead in the 69th minute when Faris Haroun struck before Malaury Martin ensured victory, firing into the top corner from outside the area.
Middlesbrough are still unbeaten this season and move up to third place, 2 points off Southampton and Derby while Birmingham stay 18th on three points.
