Respected Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has claimed that Victor Valdes has agreed a deal with Middlesbrough.
The 34-year-old joined Manchester United in January 2015, but only made two first-team appearances for the Red Devils before joining Standard Liege on loan for the 2015-16 campaign.
The former Barcelona stopper was released by Man United earlier this month and according to Balague, the Spaniard will undergo a medical with Middlesbrough on Thursday afternoon after agreeing personal terms.
Valdes represented Barcelona between 1995 and 2014, winning six La Liga titles and three Champions League crowns with the Spanish giants.
