Middlesbrough goalkeeper Connor Ripley has signed a three-year contract extension with the club.
The 22-year-old, who has made three senior appearances for the Championship side, has been handed a new deal after impressing manager Aitor Karanka in training.
"I'm really pleased with Connor because he has improved a lot since he came here," Karanka is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
"He is a very good lad. He's from the Academy and he's training hard and hopefully he can play more this season because he needs more experience."
Ripley is the son of former Premier League winner Stuart Ripley.
