Feyenoord have rejected a bid from Middlesbrough for Lex Immers, the Dutch club's technical director Martin van Geel has confirmed.
Boro were keen on striking a deal before the end of the transfer window, but Van Geel has announced that their offer did not meet his asking price.
"It was much too low, I do not take it seriously," Van Geel told NUsport.
However, Boro are still hoping to complete deals for Danny Graham and Graham Dorrans, while Marvin Emnes has left the club to join Swansea City on loan.
