Middlesbrough will reportedly complete the £2m signing of Wigan Athletic midfielder Adam Forshaw later today.
The 23-year-old travelled to Boro's training ground yesterday morning to put the finishing touches to a three-and-a-half-year deal, which will be confirmed by the club this afternoon according to The Northern Echo.
Forshaw, who has experience of playing in the Europa League with Everton, spent two years at Brentford before making a switch to Championship rivals Wigan last summer for a fee in the region of £4m.
However, things have not panned out as expected at the DW Stadium, with the Latics struggling down in 23rd place in the league table and happy to offload the star midfielder.
