Newly-promoted Middlesbrough have confirmed that they have signed Viktor Fischer from Ajax for a fee thought to be around £4m.
The 21-year-old winger was quickly linked to the club following their promotion to the Premier League, and they have now completed their first piece of business since their return to the top flight was confirmed.
Fischer will officially join Boro when the transfer window reopens on June 9, having agreed a three-year deal with Aitor Karanka's side.
The Denmark international, who has made eight appearances for his country, had previously drawn the interest of the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United.
He made more than 100 senior appearances for Ajax since turning professional in 2012, including 39 last season, during which he scored 11 goals.
Middlesbrough are also reportedly in advanced talks to sign Dennis Praet from Anderlecht as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2016-17 campaign.
