Report: Jordan Rhodes keen on Middlesbrough switch as club eye new offer

Middlesbrough are reportedly keen to up their offer for Blackburn Rovers striker Jordan Rhodes.

Blackburn Rovers are expecting an improved offer of around £14m from Middlesbrough for striker Jordan Rhodes, according to reports.

The 25-year-old netted 21 times last season and has become a consistent goalscorer for the club in his three years in the North West.

Middlesbrough have already had an offer of £12m reportedly rejected, but the Daily Mail claims that a better offer will be submitted.

The paper says that Rhodes, who is also a target for Premier League side Sunderland, is keen to speak to Boro about a move.

He has scored 74 goals for Rovers since moving from Huddersfield Town.
