John Marquis has swapped Millwall for Leyton Orient on a short-term loan deal.
The 23-year-old, who penned a new contract with the Lions earlier this year, will link up with the League Two side on a 93-day deal.
After struggling for game time at The Den, where he has started just two games all term, Marquis has opted to drop down a tier and will be eligible for Orient's meeting with Crawley Town on Saturday.
Speaking to the club's official website, Millwall boss Neil Harris said: "John is a true professional and has an outstanding attitude both in training and matches.
"I have always enjoyed a really positive and honest relationship with him and felt that going out to get some regular minutes under his belt would be good for John's career.
"He is of an age where he needs to be playing and I hope he can go to Orient, work his way into the team and score plenty of goals."
Marquis made his senior debut for Millwall in 2009, before a succession of loan spells at six different clubs to date.
