League One side Millwall have completed the signing of Burton Albion midfielder Calum Butcher on a two-year deal.
The 25-year-old - a product of the Tottenham Hotspur youth academy - was a key part of Burton's promotion-winning team last term, making 43 appearances in all competitions.
"I'm very excited. This is a massive club," Butcher told the Lions' official website. "As soon as the opportunity arose it was something I couldn't turn down.
"I know what it takes to get out of this league and hopefully that is something I bring to the squad. There is a strong squad here with some very good players so the competition for places is there, which is what you want."
Manager Neil Harris added: "It's been clear to see during a really busy schedule in August that we've been a little bit light in the middle of the park.
"Calum fits the bill for us. He's a 6'1", modern day no-nonsense central midfield player who is good at 50-50s on the ground and in the air. He also breaks forward really well and scored five goals for Burton last year in a promotion-winning season so we are really pleased to get him on board."
Millwall are currently eighth in the primitive League One table after two wins and a draw from their opening four games.
