Free agent Jermaine Pennant has reportedly snubbed a possible move to Millwall and instead edged closer to a deal with fellow Championship strugglers Wigan Athletic.
Reports emerged yesterday that the 32-year-old was on the verge of joining Millwall on a short-term deal.
However, he cancelled his hotel booking in London and failed to turn up to Millwall training today, according to News at Den.
It is believed that he is now preparing to train with Wigan ahead of a possible deal being struck with the Latics.
Both sides are currently in the Championship's bottom three, with Millwall one point from safety and Wigan nine adrift of 21st place.
