Brentford are believed to have turned down an offer from newly-promoted MK Dons for striker Will Grigg.
Grigg scored 22 goals in 50 appearances on loan at the Dons this season to help them reach the second tier for the first time in their history.
Manager Karl Robinson is keen to sign him permanently for their Championship campaign, but the Bees have reportedly rejected their initial bid.
Sky Sports News claims that the approach fell short of Brentford's £1m valuation of the 23-year-old.
Grigg moved to Griffin Park from Walsall in 2013 and has scored four goals in 36 games for the London club.
