Remy Cabella had two chances for the home side in the first 10 minutes, but was unable to beat Remy Riou in the Nantes goal.

Daniel Congre also missed a decent chance and Montpellier soon found themselves behind when Filip Djordjevic found the bottom corner just after 20 minutes

Again Cabella was a threat, but determined defending from Nantes kept him out.
