Montpellier coach Rene Girard has reiterated that he wants to manage in the Premier League.
The 59-year-old will leave the former French champions at the end of the season after four years in charge of the Ligue 1 outfit.
"I'm heading off for a new challenge," he told RMC. "My wish would be to try a new adventure abroad, discover something new.
"In France, the seven or eight clubs that could give me better than what I had in Montpellier are already taken.
"The coaches are nicely settled and are doing good work. My preference is for England, it's a country which attracts me a lot."
Girard has previously coached Nimes, Pau and Strasbourg in his career.
