Montpellier HSC extended their advantage over Guingamp to four points in the Ligue 1 table with a 2-0 win this afternoon.
Goals from Morgan Sanson and Kevin Berigaud were enough for the visitors to stay seventh in France's top division.
Sanson gave Montpellier the lead after just two minutes when he struck a low effort into the bottom corner.
Souleymane Camara almost extended their advantage when he got on the end of Berigaud's cross, but his header was well saved by Guingamp keeper Jonas Lossl.
Berigaud made it 2-0 when he poked home from close range, before Joris Marveaux's back-heeled effort went over the bar.
The visitors spurned a chance to make it 3-0 late on when Djamel Bakar missed from the penalty spot.
