AC Milan-owned striker M'Baye Niang will not have his loan deal renewed by Montpellier HSC at the end of the season, according to the club's president Louis Nicollin.
Niang has found it tough since making his move to the French club, with the player also involved in a high-profile car accident.
"Extending the loan? That has never been in question," said Nicollin, according to Ligue1.com.
"I should not be taken for a fool. This is not a player for us. If you find he makes a difference, okay, but I do not think right now that he makes a difference."
Montpellier currently sit in 13th position in the Ligue 1 table.
