Morecambe were held to a goalless draw with Stevenage at the Globe Arena in League Two this afternoon.
The home side were afforded a great chance to take the lead when they were awarded a penalty after Darius Charles had committed a foul inside the area on 15 minutes.
However, Jack Redshaw spurned the opportunity by crashing the resulting spot kick against the crossbar.
Alan Goodall then went close with a left-footed effort moments after he had headed a chance a wide.
After the break, Tom Conlon fired a free kick over the bar from a tight angle for Stevenage, before Chris Whelpdale curled an effort wide.
Stewart Drummond squandered a good opening for Morecambe when he headed over the bar on 70 minutes as neither side were able to find the breakthrough in the closing stages.
